Keeping You Safe

Your safety and the safety of everyone at Keystone Dental Centre is one of our top priorities. In addition to the standard sterilization procedures set out by the Manitoba Dental Association, we've implemented numerous safety protocols with that priority in mind.

Here's what to expect at your next dental appointment.

Check For Symptoms

Before your dental appointment, use the Government of Manitoba's Screening Tool to check for symptoms of COVID-19.

Please let us know if you have any symptoms. We'll be happy to reschedule your appointment.

Help us with this process by Updating Your Contact Information.

We are enforcing the recommended social distancing protocols in the clinic. Only patients and their caregivers will be allowed inside during appointments.

Our dental receptionists will ask you a few questions about your health status and recent travels. If you have any symptoms or have recently been travelling outside of Manitoba we will happily reschedule your appointment for you.

Hand sanitizer is available for you to use at the reception desk and throughout the clinic. You will also be given a face mask to wear before seeing your dentist.

Prior to seeing your dentist, you will be given a hydrogen peroxide mouth rinse. This rinse will help clean your mouth and is a safety precaution against the COVID-19 virus. Your dental assistant will provide you with instructions on how to properly rinse your mouth.

Our Equipment And Gear

Keystone Dental Centre has installed multiple HEPA and UV light air purifiers throughout the clinic. HEPA filters can get rid of 99.97% of dust and allergen particles while the UV-C lights have been found to effectively deactivate viruses.

The air purifiers automatically filter the air in each operatory every 8 minutes to reduce the risk of airborne transmission of COVID-19, and other viruses and particulates.

Keystone Dental Centre has invested in head coverings and water-resistant dental gowns. These items are reusable and are replaced and washed between each patient.

For every dental appointment, your dentist will be wearing gloves, a face mask and a face shield. We dispose of masks and gloves after every patient and sterilize our face shields. Please be aware that your dentist will be wearing a different type of mask depending on the procedure.
