COVID-19 Update

Update: February 25, 2022

Starting February 15, Manitoba has moved to the Code Yellow in the pandemic response system, with more changes to come in March. This has not changed our safety protocols; we will continue to maintain the safety protocols put in place during the pandemic.

The safety, well-being, and comfort of our patients and staff are top priorities for us. Keystone Dental Centre will continue going above and beyond the regulations set out by the Manitoba Dental association and safety protocols to keep everyone comfortable and safe in our dental clinic.

Please continue to bring and wear your mask to your dental appointments.

On Saturday, August 7, 2021, Manitoba is moving into Code Yellow in the pandemic response system. This does not include health care settings, such as dental clinics. The safety of our patients and team is our top priority and the new orders will not affect our clinic.

Unless we notify you, please assume your appointment has not changed. Your dental health is important, so make sure you come in for your regular checkup and cleanings. If you’re feeling symptomatic, let us know and we will happily reschedule your appointment.

August 12, 2020

We want to reassure our patients that we are still seeing patients for regular dental checkups and cleanings. Yesterday, August 12, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) released a statement saying that these routine appointments should be put on hold for the time being. The Canadian Dental Association released a response stating that this does not apply to Manitoba or Canada. The WHO’s recommendations apply to areas with widespread community outbreaks of COVID-19.

Be assured that your health and safety, and the health and safety of our team, is our top priority. If there are any changes to our practice or your appointments we will let you know as soon as possible.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during these ever-evolving times. Before your appointment, please take a look at our clinic's safety protocols.

March 13, 2020
Dear Patients,

This week, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of a new coronavirus disease has become a global pandemic. Risks of contagion remain low in Manitoba, but we should watchful and do what we can to prevent the spread of illness to protect each other and our patients.

The health and safety of our patients and staff is our top priority.

Effective immediately, we’re asking any patients who have any signs of illness (fever, cough, sore throat, etc.) to please reschedule their appointments. Patients who present themselves with any symptoms of illness will have their appointments rescheduled. In the case of emergencies, your dentist will evaluate your dental care needs on a case by case basis.

To help prevent the spread of illness, we have hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes available. Please use them as needed.

The common areas and surfaces, such as the reception area, doorknobs and handles, countertops and other areas will be cleaned with extra vigilance by our cleaners. Our staff will also be wiping down common areas more frequently during the day.

In addition to our normal sterilization procedures, are staff are wiping down patient examination rooms including chairs, armrests, examination lights and other common surfaces after every patient.

We are monitoring information from public health authorities closely and will be updating you if there are any further changes.

In the meantime, please remember that the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Your Family Dentist,

Keystone Dental Centre

In response to patient inquiry, please note:
Dr. Chin, Dr. Choy, Dr. Li and Dr. Kruk did not attend the Pacific Dental Conference 2020 located in Vancouver. Keystone Dental Centre was open and accepting patients during that time (March 5 - 7) so all of our dentists were busy working to create bright and healthy smiles.
